What you're seeing

  1. Two large clustered complexes in lilac, pale blue, rose and pale green sit on a pale membrane, drawn as a long band of tightly packed ribbed layers against a blue-green background.
  2. Thin beaded ribbon-like strands trail from the nearer complex, one threading down through its centre, while small bright particles drift in the space around it.
  3. The view gradually tilts so the membrane runs at a steep angle, then pushes in close on the lilac upper part of the complex until the focus softens.
  4. In the last moments the membrane stands vertical at the right, with the complex seen side-on and the strands running across the frame.
