Firnas Studio runs this site from Lahore, Pakistan.

The controller of the personal data described on this page is TODO-ENTITY the legal entity and its name (SITE-PLAN §11 #8).

Write to about anything on this page.

What this site collects

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

It stores nothing in your browser: no local storage and no session storage.

The fonts are served from this site, so your browser makes no request to a font service.

Films play from this site. There are no YouTube or Vimeo embeds.

One form on this site passes anything to us: the brief on Start a project, and only when you choose “Send the brief” or email it yourself. Until then it stays with you.

The brief you write

On Start a project, the brief you write is put together in your browser as you type.

“Send the brief” passes it from this page to the studio’s mailbox. “Open in your email app” hands it to your own email app as a draft. “Copy the brief” puts it on your clipboard. Nothing is sent until you send it.

When you choose “Send the brief”, our server passes your brief to Google, which provides the studio’s mailbox and the spreadsheet where we log briefs. This site itself keeps no copy. With the other two, we see a brief only when you email it to .

How long we keep a brief and its row in that spreadsheet: TODO-RETENTION the retention period (MANUAL-TASKS 16).

A link to Start a project can name a film or a kind of work in its address (?film= or ?service=). Our server reads that value to fill in the page, so it appears in the hosting logs described below.

Email you send us

When you write to , we receive your message, your email address and anything you include.

We use it to reply and to discuss the work you describe. We note the enquiry in our lead log, the spreadsheet described under “If we contacted you”, with a short summary of the work and how it goes.

Hosting

Vercel hosts this site. When your browser asks for a page, Vercel records the request in its logs as the host, including your IP address, the address of the page and your browser’s user agent.

Who holds your details
Firnas Studio (TODO-ENTITY the legal entity and its name (SITE-PLAN §11 #8)), Lahore, Pakistan.
What we hold
Your name, work email address, role and company; your company’s type, its legal form and its country; where your details came from (the address of the public page, the date we found them and a screenshot of that page as the record of the source, or the name of the person who introduced us); a note of each message we send you; your replies and our notes on the conversation, which may quote your words; if we discuss a project, its scope, any proposal and how it ends; and whether you have asked us to stop.
Where it came from
A public page (your company’s website or team page, or contact details you published yourself), or an introduction from someone who knows us both, whose name we record. We read public pages by hand. We do not buy lists or use scraping tools.
Why
To introduce our 3D animation work to you, business to business, where it is relevant to your role. Our messages carry no open or click tracking.
Lawful basis
Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): our interest in offering our work to businesses that commission animation, weighed against yours. TODO-COUNSEL the legitimate-interests assessment is a draft awaiting counsel (SITE-PLAN §11 #13)
Where we keep it
In our lead log, a spreadsheet the studio controls. It is never part of this website. TODO-RETENTION where the lead log is kept (MANUAL-TASKS 16)
How long
If you are in the UK or Ireland, we write within one month of finding your details, or delete them. After that we keep your row for TODO-RETENTION the lead log’s retention period (MANUAL-TASKS 16).
Your right to object
You can object at any time: reply to our message, or write to . One line is enough. We stop, and add your address to a suppression list so that we do not write again; the list holds only your address, the date and the reason. How long the list is kept: TODO-RETENTION for counsel (gtm/legal-review.md question 11).
Your other rights
You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, ask us to delete them, or ask us to restrict how we use them. No decision about you is made by automated means. If you are in the UK, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); if you are in Ireland, to the Data Protection Commission (DPC).
Transfers and a representative
